# Get Found — client case study (CamLock Films)

Made a beautiful site readable by Google and AI. Without touching the design.

CamLock Films — an award-winning Austin commercial video studio, national brands in the reel — came to me with a site they were rightly proud of. The design was excellent; what it did not yet have was the invisible layer underneath that lets Google and AI assistants actually read a site. The Get Found engagement built that layer: structured data, an AI-readable index, a trustworthy analytics baseline, and a verified Google presence.

- What I built — Hand-authored Schema.org JSON-LD across the site, native llms.txt + llms-full.txt and an AI-crawler policy, VideoObject schema on the hero reels, a clean analytics baseline, a verified and tuned Google Business Profile, sitemap submission to Search Console, a privacy page, and a branded 1200x630 citation card, plus a plain-language walkthrough so the client can read their own numbers.

## The starting line

The design was already excellent — that was never the question. What a site like this almost always lacks is the invisible layer underneath: the part that decides whether search engines and AI assistants can read it at all. Here, like on most sites, it simply was not there yet:

- No structured data yet — nothing machine-readable telling Google and AI who the studio is or what they do.
- No llms.txt. The file AI assistants look for to understand a site returned a 404, so ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity had no introduction to crawl.
- The reels were not registered as video, so search could not surface them as the work they are.
- A wall of five-star reviews that was not fully surfacing — the Google Business presence needed verifying and tuning.
- An analytics baseline worth tightening, so the numbers could be trusted going forward.

Beautiful, and not yet findable — a common, no-fault gap that even the best creative studios have.

## What changed

- Structured data, 0 to a 7-node validated graph across every page (Organization, Service, VideoObject, and more). Verified at validator.schema.org with zero errors.
- llms.txt + llms-full.txt, 404 to live. The site now introduces itself to AI assistants, with an explicit AI-crawler policy.
- Share card to a clean, branded citation card. A branded 1200x630 citation card on every page, so shared links preview the brand and nothing else.
- Reels, invisible to playable video. VideoObject schema on the six hero reels — eligible to show as video in Google.
- Analytics to a clean, trustworthy baseline with reusable clean / bot / real-lead segments, so the numbers can finally be acted on.
- Google Business Profile to verified and tuned — category set, address hidden per best practice, and 12 existing five-star reviews now surfacing.
- Search Console + sitemap submitted (62 pages), plus a privacy page and a plain-language walkthrough of the numbers.

## The honest part

Discoverability is plumbing. It makes a site eligible to rank and readable to AI — then Google and the AI providers decide over weeks to months. Everything within my control shipped and was verified live; the rankings run on Google’s clock, not mine.

So this case study is deliberately about what was built, not a results screenshot the machine layer was too young to have earned. The 60-day read-out is scheduled — and that is the honest way to sell work that compounds quietly.
